Enter the local time recorded at birth. Selecting a city fills its coordinates and timezone; daylight saving rules are applied for the birth date. You can edit the timezone or use the manual UTC offset when the timezone field is empty. Positions come from an in-browser ephemeris (astronomy-engine), accurate to a few arcseconds. Placidus houses are computed from scratch and checked against Swiss Ephemeris. Chiron is computed by numerically integrating a JPL-verified orbit (epoch JD 2461200.5) under Sun + Jupiter + Saturn + Uranus + Neptune gravity — accuracy is best near that epoch and degrades gradually further out; non-gravitational (outgassing) effects aren't modeled. City search covers ~24,000 places worldwide (population 15,000+) bundled with the page — nothing is sent anywhere when you type. City data © GeoNames.org, CC BY 4.0.
